Tyre Retreading Machine — Product Description

A Tyre Retreading Machine is a specialized industrial tool used to renew worn tyres by replacing their tread rather than producing a completely new tyre. This process — known as retreading, recap, or remoulding — extends tyre life, reduces waste, and delivers significant cost savings compared to buying new tyres.

Tyre retreading machines are engineered to remove the worn tread from the tyre casing and prepare the surface for receiving a new tread. They are typically horizontal, bench-mounted units with robust motors and shafts to support special retreading wheel attachments and moulding wheels.

    Key Features
    • Heavy-Duty Motor & Construction: Designed with industrial-grade motors and rugged frames for continuous operation in tyre workshops and remanufacturing facilities.

    • Retreading Wheel Attachments: Fitted with buffing or retreading wheels that remove old tread and shape the tyre casing for the new tread application.

    • Adjustable Shaft Lengths: Allows for servicing different tyre sizes — from truck tyres to off-the-road (OTR) tyres, depending on model.

    • Balanced Rotors & Bearings: Precision balanced rotors and quality bearings ensure smooth, low-vibration performance and longer machine life.

    • Operator Safety: Some models include guards and emergency stops to protect operators during buffing and retreading tasks.

    How It Works
    1. Inspection & Preparation: The worn tyre casing is inspected and cleaned.

    2. Buffing: The old tread is removed and the casing surface is prepared for the new tread.

    3. Retreading: New tread material is applied — either via precured treads or mould curing systems — and bonded to the tyre.

    4. Curing: The tyre may be cured under heat and pressure to ensure strong adhesion of the new tread (often using curing presses in full retreading lines).

    Applications
    • Tyre Remanufacturing Facilities for trucks, buses, and commercial fleets.

    • Automotive Workshops offering tyre retread and recap services.

    • Rubber Processing Units focused on recycling and sustainability.

    • Fleet Maintenance Centers looking to reduce operational tyre costs.
